Glencliff High School serves a diverse population with varying needs, backgrounds, career development patterns, and goals. Glencliff, in view of its population, is a comprehensive high school which provides for its students learning experiences which will prepare them for college, continuing education at a technical or vocational school, or immediate entry into the labor market. The school provides direction and assistance to students to help them prepare for productive, rewarding, and satisfying careers in a rapidly changing and increasingly technological job market. The school also seeks to aid students in developing a strong sense of self-respect as well as an awareness and knowledge of their rights and responsibilities as fully functioning members of a democratic society. To help students recognize and accept their roles in the community at large, and to help them see that learning is a continuing process, the school provides for its total community a resource center for enrichment in all aspects of life. |
