| What Does Our School Offer? |
|
Students enrolled at Johnson School follow the same academic standards as students enrolled in their schools of zone with accommodations made as outlined in each student's IEP.
Students enrolled at Johnson School experience a unique service model via our partnership with The Centerstone Counseling Program. The aim of this program is to provide individual and group counseling services within the school.
|
Johnson School program goals include improving student's behavioral adjustment, self-esteem and social skills; increasing self-control and problem-solving skills; helping students explore and understand their feelings; preparing students for successful transition back to their school of zone and/or post-secondary life.
|
Johnson School has developed a partnership with RocketTown where students have an opportunity to participate in an after school enrichment program.

What Makes Our School Unique?
Johnson School is a program founded upon the 12 principles of Re-Education, developed by Dr. Nicholas Hobbs. We are committed to providing a therapeutic environment where every student's strengths are acknowledged and opportunities are provided for social, emotional and academic growth and development.
Our mission is to provide every student with the foundation of knowledge, skills and character necessary to identify and pursue pathways that lead to opportunities for success. In order to fulfill this mission, we coordinate the efforts of home, school and community to best meet the needs of our students. We strive to provide an environment that is rich with the support, consistency and nurturing that our special population of students requires.
The Johnson School family is proud to be a part of the Metropolitan Nashville Public School System! We welcome inquiries and would enjoy a visit from anyone with a desire to see and experience our unique program first hand.
